حضرت ابن سیرین رحمتہ اللہ علیہ نے فرمایا ہے کہ خواب میں طوطا فرزند یا غلام ہے اگر کوئی خواب میں دیکھے کہ اس کے ہاتھ سے طوطا اُڑا ہے دلیل ہے کہ اس کا فرزند یا غلام سفر کو جائے گا۔ اور اگر دیکھے کہ طوطا اس کے ساتھ باتیں کرتا ہے تو دلیل ہے کہ ایسی بات یا کام کرے گا کہ جس سے لوگ تعجب کریں گے اور مادہ طوطا دوشیزہ لڑکی ہے اور زمردین رنگ کا طوطا دین کی پاکی پر دلیل ہے یا پارسا غلام ہوگا۔ اور اگر دیکھے کہ اس نے مادہ طوطا کو مارا ہے دلیل ہے کہ کنواری لڑکی سے شادی کرے گا اور اگر دیکھے کہ اُس کے منہ سے طوطا نکلا ہے دلیل ہے اُس کا فرزند ہوگا جو اس کی شان میں بری باتیں کرے گا۔
